I downloaded the 'anti-piracy' patch, and attempting to enter the 'anti-freeze' AR codes just crashed the emulator and forced me to delete the cheats file.It would be really disappointing if there's absolutely no way around this. Upon checking several (very low-quality) Youtube videos where the uploaders only state 'fix: don't use save-states!' , everyone in the comments says 'thanks! Problem solved,' which just seems rather sketchy given how the game already began freezing for me on the second route before making any save-states.I can't seem to find a way around this problem despite trying the aforementioned 'solutions.'

I really can't be bothered to remember to save every 10 minutes when playing for hours at a time, just because the game spontaneously and sporadically falls apart for no apparent reason. Using both together rather than saving in-game denies you the opportunity to reset the game, which is what's required to fix the game, after it breaks all on its own (it accumulates cellular damage and eventually succumbs to screen-freezing cancer)There's a great way around it: use the latest version of desmume.I think you should be glad you have such a low-pressure example to learn on. If you learn how to save frequently, it will profit you immensely in life. Please be bothered to learn this lesson now.
