Mscomct2.cab Install
Since I did not see the toolbar, I uninstalled the application (0.9.8), restarted the computer, and reinstalled the application as an Administrator. I did a new installation of Windows7. The toolbars now show up in Firefox and IE8. The application works fine in Firefox, but in IE8, nothing seems to be happening.
I ran the Troubleshooter application under the BrowserAddOn directory and took the suggested fix. Also, while installing the program, I got some kind of error with two files in which I selected ignore. The two files are located in the C:Windowssystem32MSCOMCT2.OCX (dated 5/22/00) and MSCOMCTL.OCX (dated 12/20/02).At one time, after shrinking the IE window, there was a error box that came up from PDFforge.
In the error box was the following:ERROR-NR: 481 (invalid picture)MODUL: MODMAINProcedure: STARTPROGRAMLine: 51720Any help would be appreciated!Thank you,Mike T. Well two browsers, sourceforge.net and microsoft!!!i do not think that the problem is pdfcreator but certainly windows seven or your strange way to install.

The real question is: pdf creator works yes or no whith seven?i do not know but browser ie8 or firefox seem not concerned.OFFXPDEV: MSCOMCT2.OCX Is Not Included with Microsoft Office XP Developer View products that this article applies to. Thanks for your reply rabinesse, but I did not understand any of it. I gave it one more try. I uninstalled pdfCreator and the toolbar, restarted the computer, and downloaded and reinstalled pdfCreator. PdfCreator does create these two files (MSCOMCT2/L) in the system32 directory (what I did was rename these two files before reinstalling pdfCreator). The replacement files are a newer date (3-9-04 & 4-15-05).
I tried using the program without the toolbar installed and it is a no go with IE8, but worked with Firefox. In IE8, I did receive the same error message as I received above. I then installed the toolbar and in Firefox it works as it is suppose to.
In IE8, I got mixed results. The first time I used it, I had pdfCreator set as the default printer. When I selected PDFCreator from the toolbar, after about ten seconds I did get the file screen, and then a smaller pop up ERROR window that had 'Unexpected Error; Quitting'.

After I said ok, it did save the file as it was suppose to. I tried again and did not get anything. Next test was to set my HP printer as the default printer. Now when I select PDFCreator from the toolbar, it sends the page to my printer. Again, this is only happening in IE8, NOT Firefox. Thanks again,Mike T.
