And the screen flashes and disappears before i can read anything.

If i try to install drivers manually through searching, it only says the drivers aren't the correct ones, it wont found any. If i force to install the drivers through 'from list' it gets installed, but in properties for Winfast TV2000XP Audio Capture it says 'No drivers installed for this device'If i open Winfast PVR it says 'cannot find any video capture device'.I've tested to format, changed OS, changed PCI slot, tried different drivers from leadtek.com but nothing seems to work, and i dont know what the f.ck to do now. I've tried different things in 3 days now but it's the same problem every time.I've searched the internet and i've seen folks with the same problem, but none of them have a general solution for this problem.Last thing i will test is to unplug cd-roms and so on and try, but i doubt that will work anyway.//In need of expert-help.

If you are installing this card in Windows 98, you'll have lots of problems asI have in this process. But, I did finally install everything (drivers only)I am happy to say, that I'm using it w/ w/ excellent results andI'm also quite happy that I have zero frame drops. Even the Line Noise is sovery faint, if any at all.

Other than the 'hatching' that still seems to be apparent, the quality is acceptable (after encoding the source, which happens to be LDmovies)I'm using this card w/ my Pioneer LD Player, CLD-D701 and CLD-V2600 withvery good S-Video cables (which were designed to reduce (or eliminate) thedot-crawl phenomina)Don't forget, this card is WDM (not VFW)My card is the Winfast TV2000 XP 'Expert' model, w/ remote.-vhelp. WinFast PVR works with Leadtek's driver only.Yep, i've figured that out. But why doesn't it work with the real drivers? The installation from the CD won't start for me, and downloaded drivers from leadtek doesn't work.2.

It seems that the SSID of your WinFast TV2000 card was corrupted.6606107D is the SSID of WinFast TV2000 card (BT878)What do you mean with this? What is wrong and how can i fix that? In properties for Winfast TV2000XP Audio Capture it says 'No drivers installed for this device'- This is normal.Okey, thx. I'm using this card w/ my Pioneer LD Player, CLD-D701 and CLD-V2600 withvery good S-Video cables (which were designed to reduce (or eliminate) thedot-crawl phenomina)Don't forget, this card is WDM (not VFW)My card is the Winfast TV2000 XP 'Expert' model, w/ remote. Vhelp, i'm thinking of buying the same card as yours. I need to run cables about 10-15m, do you think it's better to use composite or svhs for video due to the lengh?

Audio L/R is not as affected i think. Well, I can't truely comment on the extended length of your cords ability toreproduce w/out loss of quality at that length. I've used 25' of S-Video wiresbefore, but that was in my early stages of capturing w/ my ATI-TV Wondercard, back in the good old days capturing fun.My card has the Conexant CX2388x series chip (not the btXX or whatever)-vhelp.

Alright, Ive had it with this thing. I'm down to my last straw before I roof test this paperweight.

Everytime I load the software to view TV it crashes saying it encountered a problem and needs to close. Maybe once every 20 tries of loading the program it'll run and show tv fine for 5 minutes then the same error happens and has to close. Ive tried EVERY driver Leadtek offers.

Truthfully my question is, does anyone know how to resolve this? What is a good quality TV tuner card that has all the features this one has?P.S. I am running Windows XP and have the latest video card drivers and direct x. I had the exact same problem yesterday. The fix turned out to be pretty simple.Do you have the klite codec pack installed? Uninstall it from Add/ Remove programs and see if the PVR runs.

(It may run but warn of a missing file - I think it was xvid.dll or something, but ignore this). If it runs then you can now reinstall the klite codec pack, but VERY IMPORTANT, choose not to install the two AAC entries - ones called AAC directshow parser and the others called. AAC something else, I forget. Install any of the other componants you want and run the PVR again, to test that it works.Hope this helps. I read somewhere that disabling the WDM crossbar (whatever the hell that does) in the device manager might help.

That was going to be my next try, because I had difficulties installing that driver from the leadtek cd anyway. If that doesn't work, then, assuming that its some kind of conflict with a codec, specifically AAC directshow, then I think you can check what codecs you've got installed in device manager too. Perhaps you have installed some other codec pack that causes a similar issue.good luck. I've not the faintest clue what the crossbar does, to be honest. A quick search on google comes up with two definitions;'a switching circuit that creates multiple point-to-point connections. Also referred to as?n x n switch,? Or?n-by-n switch?; it keeps n items communicating at full-speed with n other items.' And'A switch having multiple vertical and horizontal paths and a means for interconnecting any one of the vertical paths within any one of the horizontal paths'But I'm still none the wiser.

Do a quick runthrough of the playing and recording functions and see if everything works.Btw, make sure you are using the latest version of Leadtek's PVRs program from their US website - I had an older version from the EU website, and it didn't have four-way channel surf, or teletext support.Glad its working, anyway. Here's LeadTek's official procedure for getting around the Crossbar issue, without having to disable it. A bit of 'Engrish', but easy enough to follow:: Why my system crash on the crossbar driver every time as I install WinFast TV2000 XP from the CD-ROM wizard?A: Please do following procedure:1.) After install DirectX 9, remove the current driver and application Leadtek drivers/PVR APP from Add/Remove program (find under control panel). If it does not allow you to remove the items, justleave it. It will fix itself after we complete the entire installation.2.) Check under device manager, remove all the WinFast TV2000 XP related items.3.) Leave the driver CD in the CD drive, then restart the system.4.) When windows boot up, the 'Found New Hardware Wizard' should pop up. Usethe Wizard and select 'Install from a list or specific location(Advanced)'.Next, select 'Include this location in the search' and use the 'Browse'function to point to the Driver CD.
